Child

Being a child is climbing the biggest hill and looking at the view and finding the forbidden forest on the horizon.

It’s finding an old biscuit in your pocket and thinking nothing of eating it with fluff and all.

Something moves out of the corner of their eye and it turns into a ninja hunting through the leaves.

It’s valitldating the world by counting things and trying to be a exact when you’re  wildly out by days.

Only you know the story about the time a hedgehog flew onto the washing line in a great gust of wind.

It’s wobbling a tooth convincing yourself it will come out soon so the tooth fairy comes again.

It’s the promise of pudding for breakfast if you get to bed on time ( also known as dinner too late).

Everyday means a new girl to be your girlfriend and ask to marry. It’s over quicker than it began.

It’s using words like ‘apprehensive’ because  they sound made up and could mean anything you desire.

It’s being eternally exited about tomorrow because there’s always another adventure on its way…

  1. It’s late, but I wanted to say hello. I usually try to wait for the “right” time before writing someone, but that never comes so I never write. So for now, I’m saying hello.

I sometimes read your writing before falling asleep.

Depression and anxiety make . Sometimes it hurts to be alive.

    But there are other moments.

I also like The Smiths. I love them, in fact.

    Anyway. Hello.

    1. Hi Jeff. Where are you? Its earlyish here 10am. Thank you for your lovely words. I’ve not been writing as much in the past few weeks as I’ve been adventuring. I’ll endeavour to get more of my draft posts completed. Depression and anxiety are definite ways that we experience the depth in life. I’m not sure I like them at night though. It does make the other moments brilliant. The last 48 hours have been magical hanging out with my sister and nephew. Hope you have a restful night. Hello back at you x

      1. Hi again.

I’m in Dallas, Taeg-ziz… a transplant from the state of Indiana. Due to the current state of the world, I feel compelled to note that I’m neither an R nor a supporter of T. I’m a big fan of equal rights, human dignity, and science. And doughnuts.

It’s probably mentioned on your blog, but… you’re in the UK? Relative to me, you’re six hours in the future. So that’s cool. … Time travel. … Etc?

Good on you for having awesome family time. Are you all close?

BTW, nice chunk of ink in your recent post. What’s the deal with that picture?
