Roads

Oh, can’t anybody see
We’ve got a war to fight
Never found our way
Regardless of what they say
How can it feel, this wrong
From this moment
How can it feel, this wrong

Storm, in the morning light
I feel, no more can I say
Frozen to myself
I got nobody on my side
And surely that ain’t right

And surely that ain’t right

Oh, can’t anybody see
We’ve got a war to fight
Never found our way
Regardless of what they say
How can it feel, this wrong
From this moment
How can it feel, this wrong

How can it feel, this wrong
From this moment
How can it feel, this wrong

Oh, can’t anybody see
We’ve got a war to fight
Never found our way
Regardless of what they say
How can it feel, this wrong
From this moment
How can it feel, this wrong

Magpie

I’m falling back in love with music big time. At the moment it’s a comfort, a curse and helps release some of the poop (metaphorically). I’ve been posting lyrics from songs that speak to me recently. I’ve always believed that we take from and are inspired by others creativity. By being a magpie we borrow a bit from everything that shines for us. We take it and in our hearts it becomes ours for a moment and if we are lucky something ‘new’ is produced.

To honour it I created a playlist on Spotify. You can listen here.

All the lyrics I post will be under the label Magpie for you to hunt them out.

Fail For You

This is getting hard to bare
Face it I’m not getting through
I don’t even think you care

All the things I want for you
I have been your champion
So why do you walk awayI, bought you the sky
And the oceans too
By, the look in your eye
The only thing I couldn’t do
Was fail for you
Don’t ask me to fail for you

My neck is so it down with gold
My glory always on display
Strangers in this street behold
You just turn your head away

I will be your victory
Still, you walk away

I, bought you the sky
And the oceans too
By, the look in your eye
The only thing I couldn’t do
Was fail for you
Fail for you
Fail for you
Fail for you
Fail for you
Fail for you
Fail for you
Fail for you

From A Closet In Norway (Oslo Blues)

I would rather be any place but here

Spin the bottle or roll the dice, my dear
‘Cause I can’t care, I can’t seem to break my fall
It seems I would rather be any place at allSo if the world is round now, why can’t we have everything?
‘Cause the highs are so high, these lows are killing me, killing me, killing me

I remember when wind would make me cry
I remember when wasn’t afraid to die
I wish I’d never, never fallen in love
So take this soul I sold, I’m going back in time

So if the world is round now, why can’t we have everything?
‘Cause the highs are so high, these lows are killing me, killing me, oh, they’re killing me

Seems the dying are the only ones that really know how to live
It seems the dying are the only ones that really know how to live
Seems the dying are the only ones that really know how to live
It seems the dying are the only ones that really know how to live
